Metal acetate medium is a liquid medium for selective culture of metal-reducing bacteria. Its basic components are acetate and mineral solution, and the key additives are trivalent iron or manganese oxide. The culture medium supports the extracellular electron transfer process of microorganisms such as Agrobacterium through anaerobic conditions and metal oxides as electron acceptors, and is a special tool for biogeochemistry and environmental remediation research.
