The culture medium of Thiococcus sp. is a liquid culture medium for selective culture of S. globosa. Its basic components are sulfide and sodium bicarbonate, and its key additives are vitamin B12 and trace element solution. The culture medium supports spherical sulfur bacteria to oxidize hydrogen sulfide into sulfur particles and store them in cells through photoanaerobic conditions and sulfur circulation system, and is a special tool for physiological and ecological research of photosynthetic sulfur bacteria.
