Ferronitrobasle medium

Nitro-iron Basel medium is a liquid medium for selective culture of iron-oxidizing bacteria. Its basic components are ferric nitrate and magnesium sulfate, and its key additives are dipotassium hydrogen phosphate and ammonium chloride. This culture medium can promote iron-oxidizing bacteria to oxidize ferrous iron into ferric iron and form brown precipitate through acidic environment (pH 2.5-3.5) and ferric nitrate substrate, and it is a special tool for studying iron-oxidizing bacteria in acidic mine wastewater.
