Anaerobic modified TYEP medium is a liquid medium for selective cultivation of strict anaerobic bacteria. Its basic components are tryptone, yeast extract powder and phosphate buffer system, and the key additives are sodium thioglycolate and L- cysteine to reduce redox potential. Through pre-reduction treatment and continuous anaerobic environment, this culture medium supports the proliferation of aerobic bacteria such as Bacteroides and Clostridium, and is an important tool for clinical microbiology and intestinal microecology research.
