Deep sea culture medium

Deep-sea culture medium is a special liquid culture medium used to simulate the microbial culture in deep-sea environment. Its basic components are artificial seawater and minerals, and its key additives are specific pressure tolerance factors and cold adaptive enzymes. The culture medium supports the growth and metabolism of deep-sea microorganisms in simulated in-situ environment through high-pressure culture system (up to 100MPa) and low-temperature condition (2-10℃), and is a special tool for deep-sea microbial resource development and ecological research.
