Thermophilic methanogen medium

Thermophilic methanogen medium is a special medium for selective culture of methanogenic thermophilic archaea. Its basic components are inorganic salts and sodium bicarbonate, and the key additives are hydrogen/carbon dioxide or formate as substrates. This culture medium supports thermophilic methanogens to convert simple carbon source into methane under high temperature (55-65℃) and strict anaerobic conditions, and is a special tool for the study of methanogens in high temperature environment.
