YM medium

YM medium is a general solid medium for the separation and culture of yeast and mold. Its basic components are yeast extract powder and malt extract powder, and its key additives are glucose and agar. The culture medium can inhibit the growth of bacteria through natural acidic pH conditions and support fungi to form typical colony morphology, which is widely used in the detection and identification of yeasts and molds in food, drugs and environmental samples.
