Waldens Victoria medium is a liquid medium for selective culture of marine luminescent bacteria. Its basic components are peptone and glycerol, and its key additives are sodium chloride and phosphate buffer. By simulating seawater environment and optimizing osmotic pressure, this culture medium supports the growth of luminescent bacteria and induces the expression of luciferase, which is a standard tool for the study of microbial luminescence mechanism and environmental toxicology detection.
