MPOB medium

MPOB medium is a solid medium for selective isolation of oil palm pathogenic fungi. Its basic component is potato glucose agar, and its key additives are antibiotic mixture and selective inhibitor. The culture medium can inhibit bacteria and non-target fungi through specific antimicrobial components, and support the growth and spore formation of oil palm pathogenic bacteria (such as Fusarium oxysporum). It is a special tool for oil palm disease diagnosis and disease resistance breeding research.
