Xylan medium is a liquid medium for screening xylan-degrading microorganisms. Its basic component is inorganic salt solution, and the key additive is xylan as the only carbon source. The culture medium is an important tool for industrial enzyme preparation production and biomass transformation research, which selects microorganisms that can secrete xylanase through xylan substrate and detects transparent hydrolysis circle by Congo red staining.
