Ignosoccus medium is a special medium for selective culture of extremely thermophilic archaea Ignosoccus. Its basic components are sulfide and minerals, and the key additives are yeast extract and peptone. The culture medium supports the growth and sulfur metabolism of Ignosoccus under high temperature (85-100℃) and strict anaerobic conditions, and is a special tool for microbial research in ultra-high temperature environments such as deep-sea hydrothermal vents.
