MMS medium is a liquid medium for selective culture of methane-oxidizing bacteria. Its basic components are nitrate and mineral solution, and the key additive is methane as the only carbon source and energy source. The culture medium supports the growth of methane-oxidizing bacteria and methanol metabolism through gas-phase methane supply and strict aerobic conditions, and is an important tool for greenhouse gas circulation and biocatalysis research.
