Improved Hayflick medium

Improved Hayflick medium is a solid medium for efficient separation and culture of mycoplasma. Its basic components are bovine heart extract and peptone, and the key improvements include optimizing horse serum concentration and adding arginine and DNA precursors. This medium supports the rapid formation of "poached egg"-like colonies of mycoplasma by enhancing growth factors and nutritional components, and inhibits miscellaneous bacteria by using penicillin and thallium acetate. It is an optimized tool for detection of mycoplasma in clinical specimens.
