Desulfococcus culture medium is a liquid culture medium for selective culture of sulfate-reducing archaea Desulfococcus. Its basic components are sodium lactate and yeast extract powder, and its key additives are sulfate and tungstate. The culture medium supports desulfurization coccus to reduce sulfate to hydrogen sulfide under high temperature (80-85℃) and strict anaerobic conditions, and is a special tool for studying sulfur cycle in high temperature oil reservoirs and geothermal systems
