Geobacter Dfr2 medium

Geobacter Dfr2 medium is a liquid medium for selective culture of iron-reducing strains of Agrobacterium. Its basic components are sodium acetate and mineral solution, and the key additive is iron hydroxide as electron acceptor. The culture medium supports the reduction of trivalent iron by Agrobacterium through extracellular electron transfer through strict anaerobic conditions and iron reduction characteristics, and is a special tool for biogeochemistry and microbial fuel cell research.
