Hagem s Modess medium

Hagem's Modess medium is a solid medium for selective culture of wood rot fungi. The basic ingredients are malt extract and peptone, and the key additives are lignin derivatives and manganese sulfate. This culture medium can induce the production of lignin degrading enzymes through lignin precursors and manganese ions, and support the mycelium growth and enzyme activity expression of white rot fungi. It is an important tool for the study of lignocellulose biotransformation.
