Guinness B solid medium

King's B solid medium is a special solid medium for screening Pseudomonas fluorescens. Its basic components are peptone, glycerol and agar, and its key additives are magnesium sulfate and dipotassium hydrogen phosphate. The culture medium induces Pseudomonas fluorescens to produce fluorescein through specific carbon sources and ion combinations, and the colonies show green fluorescence under ultraviolet light, which is an important tool for biological control of plant diseases.
