Leucothrix medium is a liquid medium for selective culture of Actinomyces. Its basic components are peptone and yeast extract powder, and its key additives are sodium thiosulfate and magnesium sulfate. This culture medium supports Actinomycetes to form characteristic filamentous and rosette structures through micro-aerobic conditions and sulfur metabolism substrates, and is a special tool for aquaculture system and marine biofilm research.
