pAAV2/5 Vector

pAAV2/5 is a widely used adeno-associated virus (AAV) packaging plasmid characterized by its chimeric design: it expresses the Rep protein from AAV2 and the capsid protein from AAV5. It is used to produce a recombinant virus known as rAAV2/5. The "capsid" of this virus is derived from AAV5, while the internally packaged genome is derived from AAV2.
