Tetracyclin Hydrochloride storage solution (5mg/mL sterile)
Tetracyclin Hydrochloride storage solution (5mg/mL sterile)
Tetracycline hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic agent that exhibits bactericidal activity at high concentrations. Its mechanism of action involves the drug's specific binding to position A of the 30S ribosomal subunit in bacteria, preventing the attachment of aminoacyl-tRNA to this site and thereby inhibiting peptide chain elongation and affecting bacterial protein synthesis. In addition to the commonly encountered Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as anaerobic bacteria, most Rickettsia, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Atypical Mycobacteria, and spirochetes are sensitive to tetracycline hydrochloride. Tetracycline hydrochloride is more effective against Gram-positive bacteria than against Gram-negative bacteria; however, Enterococcus species are resistant to it.
